Publishing Bots - Channels and Connectors in ConvyAI
Overview
Once a bot is built and ready, it needs to be published on one or more channel connectors to become reachable by customers. A single bot can be published on multiple connectors simultaneously, each with its own independent configuration.
Navigate to Publish → Connectors to manage your publications.

Supported connectors
ConvyAI supports the following channels:
| Connector | Type |
|---|---|
| Web chat | Website-embedded chat widget |
| WhatsApp messaging | |
| Facebook Messenger | Meta Messenger |
| Telegram | Telegram messaging |
| Google Assistant | Google voice and text assistant |
| Amazon Alexa | Amazon voice assistant |
| Email-based conversations |
Each connector has a unique name and holds all the settings required for that specific channel to operate.
Typing indicator
The typing indicator simulates the bot "thinking" before sending a message, creating a more natural conversational experience. It is configurable in the Additional Parameters section of each connector.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Disabled | Messages are sent to the customer immediately, with no delay. |
| Enabled | A simulated typing delay is calculated and applied before each message. |
When enabled, the delay is calculated as:
typing_duration = number_of_characters × milliseconds_per_character
The result is clamped between the configured minimum and maximum boundaries (in milliseconds).
Example: a message of 30 characters with 50 ms/character gives 30 × 50 = 1500 ms. If 1500 ms falls within the configured boundaries, it is used as-is.
