Agentic Orchestrator - Multi-Step Process Automation in ConvyAI

What is Agentic Orchestrator

Agentic Orchestrator is the ConvyAI module for automating complex business processes. It lets you design, execute, and monitor Agentic Flows - autonomous processes that orchestrate AI reasoning, integrations with external systems, and business logic to complete multi-step workflows without human intervention.

Agentic Flows are built in Agentic Designer, the drag-and-drop design environment dedicated to process automation. Agentic Designer is a separate tool from the FlowDesigner used for conversational flows, reflecting the different execution model of agentic processes.

Typical use cases: back-office automation, event-driven processing from CRM or ERP systems, multi-step approval workflows, and any scenario that requires AI-driven decision branching across multiple steps.

note

Agentic Orchestrator is available as an add-on. Contact the ConvyAI Sales team or your sales representative to have the module enabled for your tenant.

How an Agentic Flow works

Each Agentic Flow starts from a trigger node and executes nodes according to the graph topology defined in Agentic Designer. Nodes can run in sequence or in parallel. Each node produces an output that downstream nodes can access as input.

A run can optionally end with an explicit outcome by including a Result node. When present, the Result node sets the final state - success or failure - visible in the monitoring dashboard. Without a Result node, the flow completes without a configurable outcome.

Key concepts

TermDefinition
Agentic FlowA process automation flow built in Agentic Designer, distinct from conversational flows.
NodeThe atomic unit of execution within an Agentic Flow. Each node performs one action.
GraphThe structural representation of an Agentic Flow as a set of nodes and connections.
TriggerThe node that starts the execution of an Agentic Flow.
RunA single execution instance of an Agentic Flow.
ResultOptional node that marks the end of a run and sets its outcome to success or failure.

Access and permissions

Access to the Agentic Orchestrator section is controlled by two dedicated roles, assigned to users in the tenant user management section.

RoleAccess level
agenticorchestrator_adminFull access: create, edit, execute and monitor Agentic Flows.
agenticorchestrator_userRead-only: view the flow list and access the Monitoring page. Cannot create, edit, start or stop flows.

Users with the general platform administrator role have full visibility and control over the section regardless of these specific roles.
